Abby Animashaun primarily focuses on long-term care supports and services, with an emphasis on support for underserved sub-populations. Her expertise is in macro-level policy analysis, project management and strategic partnership engagement.
Previously, Ms. Animashaun worked as the special projects coordinator for Commonwealth Care Alliance, a Massachusetts health delivery system focused on individuals who are dually eligible for Medicaid and Medicare. In this position, she supported senior executive leadership and the Health Education and Caregiver Training (HECT) department in identifying key strategic partners, funding opportunities and ways to influence state-wide policy for the organization’s service population. Previous work experience also includes communications and policy work at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Division of Foodborne, Waterborne and Environmental Diseases, in-house consulting work for managed care organization Amerigroup Georgia, and communications and policy work at Health Care for All.
Ms. Animashaun holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Wellesley College and a master’s degree in public health with a concentration in health policy and management from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health.
