Catie Geary performs intricate policy and data analyses of health care and human services topics. Specific areas of her current work include integrated care programs for people eligible for Medicaid and Medicare with complex health conditions, with a particular focus on behavioral health services and long-term services and supports.
Prior to joining UMass Medical School, Geary worked at the Massachusetts Health Connector, specializing in operations, eligibility, and the system development life cycle. In addition, she has extensive experience in the non-profit and policy fields. She worked as an early childhood policy advocate in Washington, D.C. and as an intern in federal and non-profit offices.
Geary earned a master’s degree in public health from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in political science and CLEG (communications, legal institutions, economics, government) along with a certificate in “Women, Policy, and Political Leadership” from American University.
