Rick Perro has more than 30 years of experience in developing complex data-driven systems and software applications, including more than eight years of experience in the health care industry.
At UMass Medical School, he is responsible for the development and delivery of technology, data analysis, and reports that are used for operational management, policy development, and research. Mr. Perro has led several high-profile projects, including work with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs, the Massachusetts Medicaid Program (MassHealth), the Massachusetts Prescription Advantage Program, and the Texas Department of Health and Human Services, among others.
Prior to his role at the Medical School, Mr. Perro held several prestigious positions within the health care, semiconductor, financial, telecommunications, and electric power industries.
Mr. Perro holds an MBA in information management from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and an MS in genetics from The Ohio State University.
