Jeannette Lynch oversees all third party liability functions for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including MMIS development and implementation of the third party liability subsystem, health insurance identification, coordination and recovery, along with subrogation activities. These functions save the Commonwealth over $3 billion annually.
Previously, Lynch held roles focusing on subrogation activities on behalf of the Massachusetts Medicaid Program and oversaw program operations for casualty, estate, Medicare appeals and enhanced coordination of benefits.
Prior to joining UMass Chan Medical School in 2002, Lynch worked in management roles for the MassHealth Third Party Liability Unit for 6 years. Before that, she was the Administrative Appeals Manager for the MassHealth Claims Operations Unit.
Lynch has more than 20 years of health and human services program management and operations experience and has extensive knowledge in claims adjudication systems and processes. She has numerous accomplishments within her career including the Commonwealth Citation for Outstanding Performance (team award) and the Pioneer Institute 2004 Better Government Competition Special Recognition Award (team award).
