Jocelyn Gordon directs business development and policy initiatives in the area of long-term services and supports. She is an attorney with over 25 years of experience in health care and insurance.
Before joining UMass Medical School in 2014, Gordon served as both the Vice President of Network Development, Quality Assurance and Training and the Vice President of Products and Services at LifePlans Inc., a risk management firm that assists long-term care and health insurers, plans and providers manage risk through evidence based solutions. In these roles, she led the development and implementation of long-term care risk management strategies and claim services.
Previously, Gordon practiced law at the firm of Goulston and Storrs in Boston, Massachusetts. She concentrated her practice in business and health care law with an emphasis on health care provider organizations and regulations, corporate transactions, and telemedicine.
Prior to practicing law, Gordon served as a senior health care analyst and program manager for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Department of Medical Security, where she was involved in the design and implementation of the uncompensated care pool and other health insurance programs providing access to uninsured residents.
Gordon is a Fulbright Research Fellowship recipient and a graduate of Wellesley College. She holds a master's of science degree in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health and a law degree from the Northeastern University School of Law.
