Kimberly Lenz is a pharmacy leader in the Office of Clinical Affairs, the MassHealth clinical decision support unit that is staffed by UMass Medical School. In this role, she serves as the Clinical Pharmacy Manager for MassHealth, the Massachusetts Medicaid program. Dr. Lenz is responsible for the development and oversight of MassHealth clinical initiatives that address the management of Hepatitis C, pediatric behavioral health, opioids, and substance use disorder.
A frequent presenter, Dr. Lenz focuses her addresses on appropriate opioid prescribing, substance use disorder, transitions of care, and a multidisciplinary approach to complex disease states. She is a member of the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review's New England Comparative Effectiveness Public Advisory Council and serves on the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy’s Addiction Treatment Advisory Group and Professional Practice Committee. Dr. Lenz also is a lecturer at MCPHS University.
Dr. Lenz holds a PharmD degree from the University of Connecticut, and completed a residency at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
