Laura Sefton conducts health services research, with a focus on program evaluation and qualitative methods, for funders such as the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation, Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Sefton also contributes to the development of technical reports, peer-reviewed manuscripts and presentations, and blog posts.
Before joining Commonwealth Medicine, Sefton was an evaluation coordinator in the UMass Chan Medical School Office of Medical Education.
She received the UMass Chan Medical School Employee of Distinction Award and its Special Recognition Award.
Sefton earned a master’s degree in public policy, with a focus on environmental policy, from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Assumption University.
