Lora Dumas’s process improvement and project management skills and experience are focused on supporting the implementation of Commonwealth Medicine’s (CWM) strategic plan. This includes helping launch Innovation Stations, aimed at strengthening employee engagement, collaboration, and personal accountability for achieving the shared goals of the organization. She also develops process improvement training for CWM employees and provides support for external clients, including the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Dumas’s responsibilities include defining project plans and goals, developing and implementing project metrics and measurement systems, coaching, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on established Lean methodologies and project management techniques.
Before joining Commonwealth Medicine, she served as process improvement specialist and chief idea officer UMass Memorial Health Care. In this role, Dumas was responsible for leading the overall strategy to enable more than 80,000 problem-solving efforts, as well as organizational development and employee engagement. Previously, she served as a legal assistant and human resources assistant.
A certified Lean Leadership Black Belt, Dumas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Worcester State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Nichols College.
