Melissa Brindisi manages large health care projects, including complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives focused on the evaluation of health care interventions and quality of care for managed care organizations serving MassHealth clients. She directs teams in the development of budgets, work plans, study designs, data acquisition and analysis, and project deliverables. Brindisi also analyzes health service utilization, cost, quality, and patient satisfaction data for Medicaid beneficiaries and other underserved populations, including health care outcomes for individuals with behavioral health conditions, and screening, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases using MassHealth claims data and the all-payer claims database (APCD).
Before joining Commonwealth Medicine, Brindisi was a health care analyst at Tufts Health Plan, managing the Health Plan Employer Data and Information Set (HEDIS) data collection and audit process.
Brindisi earned a master’s degree in public health from the School of Public Health and Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Assumption University.
