Dr. Michael Chin has worked in our health policy and research program since 2013, and also serves as the co-director of the Medical School’s International Medical Education Program.
Dr. Chin previously had worked at the Massachusetts Health Connector Authority as a senior policy analyst. He was involved in implementing the Affordable Care Act in Massachusetts and analyzed data regarding the impact of the state’s individual mandate. He also oversaw the Health Connector’s Advisory Committee on Health Disparities.
Dr. Chin is a practicing family physician for the emergency room at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, a community health center in Boston, with a special interest in leveraging technology to improve clinical workflow and health outcomes. He also is an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Medical School.
Dr. Chin received his medical degree from UMass Medical School and his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.
