As director for clinical account management, Mylissa Price oversees the development of clinical materials, including therapeutic and new drug reviews, clinical criteria, proposals for new initiatives, and client presentations. She also provides oversight for the pharmacy residency program and student rotations with area schools of pharmacy. Her pharmacy expertise includes Medicaid, commercial clients, correctional health, and special populations, such as medically complex individuals.
Previously, while serving as a clinical consultant pharmacist for the MassHealth Drug Utilization Review program, Price helped develop the first academic detailing and prescriber education program for a state Medicaid program. She also contributed to the development of Commonwealth Medicine's medication therapy management programs, the MassHealth Drug List and prior authorization program (SmartPA), and continuing education programs.
Before joining Commonwealth Medicine, Price worked as a community pharmacist for CVS and Walgreens.
Price earned a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from the University of Connecticut-Storrs, and a master's degree in public health from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
