Mylissa Price oversees the development of clinical materials, including therapeutic and new drug reviews, clinical criteria, and new initiative proposals, as well as presentations for clients. She also provides oversight for the pharmacy residency program. Ms. Price began her UMass Medical School career in 2002 as a clinical consultant pharmacist for the MassHealth Drug Utilization Review program.
Ms. Price had an active role in the team that developed the first academic detailing and prescriber education program for one state’s Medicaid program. She has contributed to the development of our medication therapy management programs and the establishment of the MassHealth Drug List and SmartPA, and has developed internal resources for staff, including customer service training for the call centers. Throughout her time at UMass Medical School, Ms. Price has worked with Medicaid, commercial and correctional health clients, and special populations, such as medically complex individuals.
Previously, Ms. Price served as a community pharmacist for CVS and Walgreens.
Ms. Price earned her master's in public health degree from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and her bachelor's of science degree in pharmacy from the University of Connecticut-Storrs.
