Pavel Lavitas supervises a team of consultant pharmacists who participate in the development and implementation of evidence-based clinical recommendations for MassHealth (Massachusetts Medicaid). He also leads pharmaceutical intelligence activities, including drug pipeline monitoring, development of budget impact projections for high-cost pipeline agents, and he participates in the development of drug management strategies.
Lavitas is the co-author of numerous academic research posters and has delivered presentations to pharmacists and physicians on late-stage pipeline drugs in development. He also participates in research and has presented at national conferences on the management of hepatitis C virus medications.
Lavitas received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, where he holds an adjunct faculty position. He also completed a PGY-1 Managed Care Pharmacy Residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
