As regional operations director of the Health and Criminal Justice Program, Robert DeLanders, Esq., coordinates day-to-day operations for the Federal Medical Center, Devens, and the Federal Correctional Institution, Ray Brook. DeLanders serves as the principal administrative point of contact for both facilities and is responsible for provider relations and clinical management.
DeLanders has 10 years of experience as an attorney, five years of experience working in correctional health care, and two years as an operations director for UMass Medical School. As operations director for Devens, he spearheaded the development and implementation of new onsite services including, but not limited to, a pilot telemedicine for the organ transplantation clinic.
Prior to working at UMass Medical School, DeLanders worked as a litigator at several law firms in the Greater Boston area with a focus on medical malpractice defense. As an attorney, DeLanders had the opportunity to work with UMass Medical School representing its providers for over three years before joining the Health and Criminal Justice team as an operations manager.
DeLanders earned a bachelor's degree from Boston College and obtained his juris doctor from Northeastern University School of Law.
