As Associate Director of Program Implementation and Provider Network, Shannon Burns directs and manages the waiver enrollment and provider network operations for the Acquired Brain Injury Waivers and Moving Forward Plan Waivers.
Burns has provided project management and program development support for a wide range of programs. She participated in the implementation and operations of the Acquired Brain Injury and Money Follows the Person Waivers for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services. She also led and administered the New Hampshire Communities for Independence Waiver and the New Hampshire Pre-Admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) program. She has been involved in other Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services initiatives as well, including the Demonstration to Integrate Care for Dual Eligible Individuals (OneCare), the Community First Olmstead Plan, the HealthyMass-Diabetes Task Force and the intra-agency care coordination program, One Family One Plan.
Burns earned her master’s in public administration from Clark University and her bachelor’s degree from Worcester State University.
