Since joining UMass Chan Medical School in 2013, Tami Ohler has focused on analyzing the variation in prices that commercial health insurers pay providers in Vermont.
Previously, Ohler worked at the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center, where she analyzed data for state budget-related projects. She also worked as a research assistant at the Congressional Budget Office, where she prepared cost estimates of proposed legislation pertaining to the Pell Grant program and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. She also has taught introductory economics and public finance at the college level and has over 15 years of SAS programming experience.
Ohler has a PhD in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Davis.
